The seminar will give you tips and advice on how to get the most out of your time and money spent at a boatyard along with providing you your KKMI "Do-It-Yourself" Certification. In this popular seminar the nautical "Click & Clack" Project Manager, Mike Haley, and top mechanic, Bill Peacock, take you through the ins and outs of your diesel engine as only true professionals can.

Electrical Seminar - TBD
Hosted by Ron Romaine, this is an in-depth Electrical Seminar covering everything from designing, installing and maintaining your electrical system. From tools and new equipment to "how to" and tips from over 35 yrs of experience in the field.

Rigging Seminar - TDB
Learn from long time sailor and KKMI Chandlery manager, Ralf Morgan, about standing rigging, rig maintenance and basic rig tuning. Time permitting, discussion will cover various available line options for running rigging; how to choose and how to get the best value for your rigging dollar.

Basic Piloting Seminar - TBD
KKMI opens up the Boathouse to Capt. Tuuli Messer-Bookman for a Seminar on Basic Piloting. A foundational skill, required of all prudent mariners, this seminar teaches low-tech basics that will relieve you from relying on electronic chart plotters.
Capt. Messer is a tenured, Full Professor in the Marine Transportation Department of the California Maritime Academy, where she has taught all aspects of navigation, training professional licensed mariners since 1995.
