Is it Spring yet?
I know what I’m about to say sounds like a whining Californian, but seriously, is it Spring yet? I mean, I understand that water and rain are essential to our survival…but enough already. It’s Monday March 25th and we’re headed into a week of on and off rain. All this wet stuff is making it difficult to get things done in the boatyard. Yes, I am whining, but it’s for a good cause…trying to meet our clients’ expectations and deadlines.

Whine as we may, and as hard as it is to believe, before we know it, we will be running for shade and longing for a little break from the heat. And what better way to do that than to be on a boat.

We do our best to meet our clients’ schedules, but there are clearly some things that are out of our control – like, say, weather. While we try to incorporate as much flexibility as we can into our scheduling, and do so all year long, we are particularly sensitive to weather as spring approaches. We know as soon as the rinse cycle is over and the dial is set to dry, you’re going to want to slip into your freshly pressed and primped boat.

Getting your boat ready for the season is without a doubt a mixed bag of fun and chores. Thinking about your boating opportunities for this coming season is not only great fun but essential when outlining what critical chores need to be done to ensure your season goes according to plan. To help you succeed in making the most of your boating experiences this season, be sure to talk to one of our project managers to get your work scheduled soon. Some of our technicians are finding themselves booked out for two to three (or more) weeks, so we highly recommend scheduling your yard time sooner rather than later.

If it’s your first time to the boatyard, here’s a little video we put together to help you take the anxiety out of what to expect:

When that sun finally comes out for good, and your boat is raring to go, you’ll be thankful you called us sooner!
