When founded in 1996, Paul Kaplan and Ken Keefe had a vision of a modern, highly efficient facility, bustling with activity and one that would serve as a destination for many of the world’s finest yachts. Now, after a great deal of time, effort, vision, boatloads of money and a top notch staff KKMI is firmly on the map as one of the leading boatyards on the West Coast today.
KKMI´s services are very inclusive, operating an internationally recognized yacht brokerage in addition to the boatyard, serving the San Francisco Bay Area in all things maritime.
The American Boat Builders and Repairers Association recently voted KKMI “Boatyard of the Year”, a high honor for our entire team. To be recognized by our peers in the industry is extremely rewarding because the title encompasses the core principles on which we pride ourselves: Procedures, Safety, Value and Excellence. Our vision has been to develop operating Procedures and Safety standards that keep our yard sound. We are committed to providing the very best Value for our clients. In achieving all these goals we then represent what KKMI aims to deliver- Excellence!
